ACDI/VOCA Senior Technical Specialists Job Vacancy in Rwanda

that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial
services, enterprise development, community development and food security in
order to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society.
ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40 countries.
We are seeking Senior Technical Specialists
candidates for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded Feed the Future project
in Rwanda. The project will build on the successes of the ongoing Rwanda Post
Harvest Handling and Storage (PHHS) program. The follow-on program will address
post-harvest inefficiencies for targeted staple crops. The program will link
farmers to storage facilities and stimulate private sector investment in
construction and management of post-harvest equipment and warehousing.
Seeking candidates for the following positions:
• Staple Foods Value Chain Specialist: Significant
experience addressing the causes of underperformance in production,
post-harvest handling, processing, trade and marketing issues for staple crops.
Success in leveraging private sector investment.
• Investment and Ag Finance Specialist:
Demonstrated experience facilitating access to finance for SMEs in the
agriculture sector. Experience developing agricultural and rural finance
products such as warehouse receipts.
• Market Linkages Specialist: Demonstrated
experience facilitating partnerships and transactions between value chain
actors in the staples sector.
• Institutional Capacity Building Expert:
Experience developing and implementing institutional and sustainable strategies
for local organizations. Demonstrated ability to work with and obtain support
of private sector stakeholders.
• Business Enabling Environment Advisor:
Demonstrated experience working with government stakeholders on agriculture and
food security policy.
• Business Development Advisor: Demonstrated
experience providing business development services to agrisector SMEs in the
areas of marketing, finance and investment.
• Market Information System Specialist: Experience
developing commercially driven MIS platforms and leveraging private sector buy
in and investment.
• Gender Specialist: Experience integrating gender
into programmatic interventions.
• M&E Specialist: Demonstrated experience
developing an M&E plan that monitors progress toward achieving the
project’s objectives and USAID’s reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in international trade,
economics, business administration or other relevant area
• Minimum eight years of progressive professional
experience in an applicable subject area
• Excellent English and French language skills.
