Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Computational Epigenomics
at the Department of Twin Research, King’s College London. The 2-year
postdoctoral position will focus on developing and applying methods to study
the role of epigenetic processes in complex traits. The successful candidate
will work on the largest twin-based epigenetic projects to date, the EpiTwin
project , which contains next-generation DNA methylation sequencing profiles of
5,000 twins. The successful candidate will use statistical and computational
approaches to identify epigenetic signatures of complex disease. Method
development will include quantifying epigenetic signals and extending
statistical genetic models to epigenetics in complex trait twin models. This
presents an exciting opportunity to develop leading edge tools for the analysis
of epigenetic data that will be applied to multiple clinically-relevant traits.
