International Rescue Committee (IRC) Project Manager Job Vacancy in Rwanda (Re-Advertisement)

The International Rescue
Committee (IRC), a renowned international humanitarian agency, would like to inform interested candidates about full time job
vacancies available for
the Access to Justice project funded by the Dutch
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kayonza & Ngoma Districts.

The project « Enhancement of Justice &
Security at local level » is part of the Governance & Rights program
implemented across Rwanda and Burundi. The project will aim to improve human and community
security through increased citizen access to justice and security in Ngoma and
Kayonza Districts of Eastern Province.
PROJECT MANAGER (1)
Duration : 1 year renewable, full time
Location:
Kibungo, Ngoma district, travels to rural communities in Ngoma and Kayonza
districts, as well as to Kigali.
Main
responsibilities: Project management
·        
Effective daily implementation of the
project in the field including planning and operational implementation of the
activities, reporting, monitoring & evaluation under the guidance of the
Governance & Rights Coordinator and the supervision of the Rwanda Program
Director.
·        
Leadership and management of staff.
·        
Support to 2 CSO partners in charge of
implementing legal awareness-raising and legal aid activities.
·        
Financial planning and follow-up of the
activities.
·        
Coordination with local stakeholders.
Qualifications:
·        
At least 5 years of experience in
project management, including at least 3 years of specific experience in access
to justice programming or conflict resolution
·        
Bachelor in Law (Master is an
asset) ; good knowledge of human rights standards, Rwandan land law and
family law; good knowledge of alternative dispute resolution methodologies
·        
Working experience at community level
with vulnerable groups and with security forces. And working experience and/or knowledge
of GBV issues is an asset.
·        
Good communication skills; strong
writing & reporting skills, and ability to work with a wide range of
actors, including local authorities
·        
Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel Power
Point, Access, Internet, Outlook)
·        
Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and French
·        
Driving license B
·        
Knowledge of Eastern Province is an
asset
