Process Engineer

Responsibilities:
• To provide process design, technical support and technical advice services related to production and facility operations.
• The position will be responsible for work across Asiapac assets and will be based in KL with visits to offshore installations required to scope and supervise work.
• Assist with the formulation and development of conceptual facilities engineering designs into functional scopes of work for new and existing assets in an effective and economical manner.
• Assistance to ensure the safest and most cost effective methods of facilities project installation, while minimising any loss of production revenue through innovative techniques, procedures and equipment.
• Assist as required to develop, maintain and distribute standards and specifications utilised within facilities engineering to ensure the quality of work carried out by the Company and pertinent contractors is consistent in satisfying Corporate and Legislative requirements and incorporates the benefits of new technology.
• De-bottleneck studies in support of operations.
• Ensure HAZID and HAZOP’s are carried out on modifications.
• Ensure Health and Safety culture is maintained to support safe and efficient operations.
• Manage and provide technical input to modification technical and safety reviews.
• Originate and approve operations procedures.
• Oversee and manage project budgets as and when required.
• Form part of the Asiapac Emergency Response Team as required by Company Emergency Response Procedures.

Requirements:
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent (BSc. (Hons)/M.Eng Chemical Eng, Chartered Chemical Engineer MIChemE)
• Extensive experience related to design, operations and process modelling.
• Well-organised individual with the ability to plan ahead.
• Effective communicator at all levels and with external parties.
• Awareness of commercial and cost control issues.
• Demonstrates sound judgement and fact-based decision-making.
• Effective team contributor delivering against schedule driven targets and deadlines.
• Good Project Management skills.
• Understand importance of process & procedure and the associated accuracy requirements
