The Department of Scandinavian Studies and Linguistics is a leading centre for research, teaching and
knowledge transfer in the following disciplines: Danish literature, language and media (including subject didactics), Scandinavian Studies (including Finnish), Audiologopaedia, Psychology of Language, Gender Studies and Philology (including Indo-European, Linguistics, Psychology of Language and Phonetics).

Job content
The professorship is in communications, as practiced in relation to the subject of Danish at the University of Copenhagen. Applicants must be able to document special research, teaching and dissemination qualifications in corporate communications.
The successful applicant will be a top international researcher in the subject, who is capable of teaching and supervising on all levels (BA, MA & PhD), making a significant contribution to the further development of the Department´s programmes and dissemination, and acting as the driving force behind major research projects and the ongoing development of the Department´s external partnerships.
Applicants must also account for how they will contribute to the development of the Department´s research, programme and dissemination profile in the communications field, e.g. in connection with the work of established centres and research groups and in connection with the development of new research initiatives and partnerships (maximum 5 pages, cf. Qualification requirements
The professor is expected to be able to take part in all the activities of the Department, including examinations and administration and also manage research projects, provide pedagogic supervision, supervise assistant professors and sit on academic assessment panels.
Emphasis will be placed on the following academic and personal qualifications:
• Research qualifications, which will be assessed in relation to the period of active research and the degree of originality and production
• The applicant´s scientific significance, academic breadth and depth, rigour, thoroughness and accuracy as well as academic relevance in relation to the advertisement for the position

Only material in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English, German and French can be expected to be assessed.

Appointment procedure
After the application deadline, the Dean will set up an expert assessment committee to evaluate applicants specifically in relation to the advertised position. Salary and conditions of employment
The post will be filled according to agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of professional Associations. The approximate annual pensionable salary is currently DKK 570,000. Additional bonuses may be negotiated on an individual basis.
