Adconion Media Group Finance Assistant Job Vacancy in London

Location: Great Portland Street, London

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the finance team and assist with financial, administrative and clerical services including; processing and monitoring payments and expenditures as well as preparing and monitoring the payroll system. The Finance Assistant will report into the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities
Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services (media costs & everyday suppliers)
• Travel Expense Entry.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
• Manage the weekly payment run.
• Record all bank incoming payments.
• Prepare all vendor/publisher payments.
• Responsible for recording of petty cash.
• Prepare manual payments as and when required.
• Maintain listing of accounts payable – reconciliation with publishers and vendors.
• Maintain the general ledger, payroll and payroll pay-out.
• VAT Reporting to HMRC.

Required Skills/ Experience

The candidate must have some proficient knowledge in the following areas:
• Knowledge of accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers.
• Knowledge of payroll functions and procedures.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payroll information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.
• The candidate would normally attain the required knowledge and skills through completion of some basic accounting coursework combined with related financial and administrative experience.
• Equivalencies will be considered.
