Position: Registrar
The College
Osun State College of Education, lla-Orangun is one of the leading Colleges of Education in the Country. The College is an Institution established to produce middle/high level teaching manpower in the Humanities, Sciences and Technical/Vocational Subjects. The College emphasizes Moral and Academic Excellence and is rooted in the practice of the best traditions, principles and conducts of education with teaching and research.
The Person
• The person’s academic standard must be very high and must have held a senior administrative position in a tertiary institution,
• His stature must be such as would command national respect and which would enhance the reputation of the College
• He must have a pleasant personality and enjoy good health,
• He should preferably not be less than forty (40) years of age and be happily married.
• He must be of sound mind and of unquestionable integrity and character,
• He must possess a good sense of discipline, dedication, drive, firmness and resourcefulness and must be able to command the respect and loyalty of members of staff and students of the College.
Qualifications:
i) Candidates must possess minimum of first degree from a recognized
University. The possession of a higher degree and membership of professional bodies will be added advantage.
ii) Candidates possessing second degree and minimum of first degree must have 15years cognate experience and those Ph.D, at least 12 years post qualification cognate experience in a senior administrative post in an Institution of Higher Learning. They must not be below the rank of a Deputy Registrar with not less than 3 years experience in a college of Education or a Polytechnic.
The Post
The Registrar shall be responsible to the Provost in the day-to-day administration of the affairs (other than the Finances) of the College. He shall also by virtue of the office be the Secretary to the Council and Convocation.
Terms of Appointment:
• The Registrar of the College shall hold office for such a period and on such terms and conditions as may be specified by his instrument of appointment,
• The salary attached to this position is CONTISS 15 apart from other perquisites of office obtained in similar institutions as may be approved from time to time by the State Government.
