Location: Cobourg, Ontario
Anticipated Start Date: June 20th, 2010
Hourly wage: $10.25
Duration of Employment: 11 weeks
Description of Work Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Support the work of the Go Green Together CEO, Community Outreach Coordinator and summer environmental outreach staff.
• Be the key person responsible for keeping all records of activities and files in order from each of the programs we administer from home energy audits to rain barrel distribution.
• Keep the minutes from all staff meetings organized and distributed to participants as required.
• Back up staff managing the front desk and phone lines.
• Co-ordinate communication between staff.
• Make sure that we meet all deadlines and maintain the wall chart of events, meetings and speaking opportunities.
• Assist the CEO in the preparation of administrative and financial records to go to the bookkeeper.
• Help with the preparation of funding applications.
• Be equally familiar with all the programs that Go Green Together offers and be environmentally literate to be able to fill in when an environmental outreach intern is not available.
Eligibility Criteria and Skill Set:
• Applicant must be a returning student
• Related experience, and environmental education is an asset
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Able to use Microsoft office, PowerPoint, etc.
• Able to work independently
