Job Description
The intern will assist TREC Generation and TREC Education teams with a variety of projects relating to marketing renewable energy projects, including event coordination and logistics for outreach events and presentations and attendance at various events promoting renewable energy or environmental issues taking place throughout the summer.

Responsibilities will include:
• Working with an external marketing consultant and conducting research into marketing and media opportunities as directed;
• Preparing materials for, and leading energy education activities for children and youth at community events;
• Preparing materials for and answering the questions of adults attending community events;
• Recruiting, training and coordinating volunteers for community events;
• Conducting research for youth energy action projects and information about youth on green energy career opportunities;
• Updating websites and social media; and some administrative duties as required;
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
As this is an HRSDC funded position, the candidate must:
• Be between 15 and 30;
• Be enrolled in full time education and be planning to return to fulltime education in the fall.

Additional Qualifications
• Experience with event organization an asset
• Knowledge about renewable energy, energy conservation, and/or environmental issues
• Flexible, self starter that can work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated organizational abilities and proven ability to multi-task
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of Mac Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
