Business Planner
Job Description
• To provide customer service support to Customer through cross-functional support team and also to ensure daily shipment commitments and requirements are fulfilled
• Communicate customer’s expectations and goals to factory support groups Review Original Schedule Date (OSD) and Cycle-Time (CT) performance reports
• Understand logistic issues and constraints to communicate de-commits effectively to the customer Request customers for additional hardware i.e. probe card, load board, socket to meet production starts and ship commitments for immediate month
• Work with customers on die visibility, pull in die to fulfill and exceed forecasted loading
• Responsible for planning and scheduling activity function of the specific business account
• Drive Customer Service Index to improve operational indices for customers.
• Purchase Order Management. Acknowledge purchase orders within 24 hours, cancel redundant purchase orders and ensure correct shipping address. Ensure there is always an active purchase order.
• Drop shipment pick list and manual process traveler.
• Assist Account Manager with customer’s material liability (EXOB – Excess and Obsolescence)
• Ensure production and service billings and invoiced promptly with minimal debit / credit notes.
• Perform detailed resource planning to support daily, weekly and monthly plan based on latest Forecast Plan.
• Provide daily loading plan to meet daily and weekly plan. Liaise with Shipping on inbound/outbound requests.
• To meet Original Schedule Date (OSD). Highlight volume trend and constraints to management.
• Integrate customer order to daily manufacturing loading with manufacturing to meet output.
• React to recover and drive operations to prevent similar issue from re-occurring.
• Integrate part planning of customer orders to daily manufacturing loading.
• Inventory and shipment awareness.
• Measure and analyze process cycletime performance and deviation including door-to-door cycletime performance.
• Identify root cause of cycle-time variation and drive for effective corrective actions.
• Work with Purchasing Team on material upsides requirement and ensure upsides committed
• Work with Product Engineering. QA on various Products offload
• Any other ad-hoc assignment from Supervisor.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree graduate in any discipline with min 3 years of working experience in sub-contractor environment preferred.
• Strong logistics background.
• Preferably experienced in the area of Customer Service in manufacturing environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess problem solving capability.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
