This position reports to the manager, GL / Statutory & Tax Compliance team within the Asia Pacific Shared Services Center.
GL Accountant (China)
We are currently looking for a high calibre and motivated individual to be part of our Clients Finance Shared Service team in Singapore.
This position reports to the GL manager within the Asia Pacific Shared Services Center.
Job description:
• Responsibility for the general accounting systems, procedures and policies
• Ensure the journal entries, ledger accounts reconciliations, record of assets/liabilities and other financial transactions are duly performed
• Preparation of profit/loss, income and balance sheet statements
• Statutory and tax-related filings and compliance
• Identify opportunities for streamlining and standardization and drive towards results
• Stakeholder communication and rigor
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 5 years of related commercial working experience, of which at least 2 years are in a fast-paced, high volume transactional, MNC environment
• Experience with the SAP system will be an advantage
• Knowledge of Greater China accounting standards and tax reporting
• Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skill
