Senior Process Development Engineer – NPI

In partnership with my client – a leading healthcare company, we are seeking a Senior Process Development Engineers at the company’s Cork plant.

This is a 23-month fixed term contract working directly (on staff) for client with excellent salary and full benefits (only excl. pension) from day one.

My client is introducing 2 new products from R&D in US and we are seeking Degree qualified Process or Product Development Engineer with at least 3 years process engineering experience within a high volume multinational manufacturing assembly (i.e. electronics) or semiconductor (i.e. highly controlled) environment.

This role will specifically develop new processes for these products. The products have already been developed and this role will develop processes to manufacture these products within the Cork plant. Suitable candidates will have previous process development or NPI experience using risk analysis tools such as Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiment (Doe) or process methodology and statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPC, Six Sigma, etc).

Previous Design for manufacturability (DFM) experience would be a distinct advantage.
Once products are introduced this role will also work on introducing future products and also developing existing process in terms of identifying areas of process and cost saving (i.e. automating manual processes, improving robustness of existing processes).

The environment is essentially a high volume manufacturing environment so my client wants candidates coming from a fast-paced multinational high-volume manufacturing environment.

Salary €50,000 – €60,000 (DOE) including benefits from day 1 (Gym, Health Insurance, Pension – 6% contrib., Bonus, Stock Options, Life Assurance). Full benefits are given for both contract and permanent roles.

Suitable candidates will be:
• Degree qualified must have at least 5 years process experience as an engineer within a world class manufacturing environment (ideally a high volume assembly environment such as medical device, electronic, pharmaceutical or automotive manufacturing)
• Must have a proven track record of developing processes for new products using NPI and Risk Analysis tools such as FMEA, DoE, SPC and Six Sigma
• Suitable candidates should also have a proven track record of leading, driving and implementing process improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, DMAIC, Six Sigma, etc.
• Experience with mechanical manufacturing processes is a distinct advantage, in particular with mechanical design tools such as Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
