Credit Analyst
Job Profile :
Our client, a financial institution is seeking to appoint a Credit Analyst for its Singapore branch. This entails the evaluation, credit analysis & preparation of credit applications / reviews of the Branch’s corporate portfolio extending across all business lines in the South East Asian region.
In greater detail, the responsibilities are :
• Supporting relationship & product specialist teams in the early identification and structuring of business opportunities
• Perform individual (or group) reviews to ensure compliance with policies, regulations and guidelines and determining on appropriate counterparty ratings.
• Identify early negative trends that may affect the portfolios and anticipate external factors likely to lead to deterioration of their risk quality
• Ensure financial covenants compliance
• Identify potential risk concentration in the portfolio (counterparty, industry, country risk)
• Participate in risk strategy, portfolio review and discussions on credit risk issues
• Quarterly portfolio credit monitoring & update of KMV indicators
• Reviewing and managing the rating of corporate customers
• Monitoring financial performance of the corporate customers
• Undertaking review of industries & facility documentation
• Conducting stress testing on the credit portfolio
Minimum Requirements :
• Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting (or a related field) from a top tier local or well regarded international university.
• At least 3-5 years related work experience
• Grounded in corporate credit analysis
• Strong cash flow analysis/ modelling skills
• Ability to assess the more complex and structured transactions
• A solid understanding of modern credit risk management techniques and approaches.
In addition, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, be a strong team player, with ability to think outside the box and maintains a strong customer focus.
