Our office is located in Vancouver’s Green Zone in an innovative, shared office and warehouse facility. Our green roof deck has views of the Port of Vancouver, North Shore Mountains, Railway/Gastown and the Vancouver skyline. We are part of a tight community that views collaboration as key to healthy businesses and the local economy.
The sales & marketing associate will be part of a team helping to develop and implement programs that contribute to the growth of Saul Good Gift Co. and will be based in our Vancouver, BC office.
Responsibilities include:
Sales
* Developing and qualifying new leads through list creation, cold
calling, networking and events
* Customizing gift programs for clients, developing quotes and closing deals
* Maintaining CRM system through Salesforce.com
– Analyzing data to improve strategy over time
* Creating invoices and preparing files for production (printing
shipping labels, greeting cards, fresh sheets)
* Managing client expectations and providing customer service
* Follow up after orders are completed, preparing and analyzing
reports from our Gifts that Give Back program
* Inside sales
– Following up with existing clients for reorders
– Taking orders over the phone
– Responding to inquiries generated from our website, or forward as appropriate
Marketing
* Planning and staffing tradeshows and events
– Generating leads creatively through interactions, give aways, draws, contests
– Entering leads into CRM system
– Developing and distributing sample kits as appropriate
* Creation of promotional collateral, liaising with contractors and suppliers as appropriate
* Website management
– Internet marketing
• Development and management of keyword strategy
• PPC marketing, strategy, tracking/analytics
– Google adwords, Facebook adverts
• Developing and documenting links to our website
– Analysis of website analytics, developing and managing conversion rate strategy
• Continuous measurement, evaluation and improvement of campaigns
– Managing the e-newsletter program and increase its effectiveness at an engagement tool
* Creating content
– Our website/blog stories (Our Vendors, Our Community is Core)
– Developing social media strategy, managing how we engage with people online
• Consistent communication of our brand/ Saul Good story
• Manage Saul Good social media accounts which currently include: FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn
• Measure our impact and effectiveness using metrics such as Klout, Conversion Rates, Bounce Rate, ROI
• Engage and grow our audience of engaged customers and brand advocates
* Engage customers and target market in online dialogue
– Create brand advocates from our gift recipients and clients
– Development of ‘Use the Box’ program
* Story telling both online and in our gifts
– Our suppliers
– Our differentiation
– Custom gift stories for clients
– Fresh sheet program
– Video production
* Building relationships with blogging community (develop more inbound links
* Managing donation programs
– 1% for the Planet
– Silent auctions/event donations
Public Relations
* Identify which publications have readers in our target market
* Identify and build relationships with journalists that might be interested in what we do
* Draft press releases as required
* Develop press kit, for download off our site, for sending along with press releases
Customer Service
* Answering phone, taking orders, client inquires

Required Skills
* Experience with business to business sales & marketing
* Understand how value is created and perceived by organizations
* Word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft office and Google docs)
* Proficiency using Client Relationship Management (CRM) software
* Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred
* Familiarity with Google Webmaster Tools and SEO
* Writing for the web
* Basic digital video editing skills preferred
This is a full time position in our Vancouver, BC office. Compensation
program comprises of a base salary, commission structure, performance
bonuses and a benefits program. This is an entry to mid-level opportunity with opportunity to grow with our business.
