A superb opportunity to join a talented and committed Hosting support team that operates on a follow the sun support model providing support on a 12 x 7 shift basis, providing the interface between Engineering and Operations. The role will be working on a shift pattern, either from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday with each day operating from 8am to 5pm SGT or 11am to 8pm SGT. Shift is subject to change to cater to operations requirements.
Senior / Hosting Engineers are part of the Global Operations Organization, providing world class support to an enterprise level client base, responsible for incident resolution, processing of change requests, and contributions to problem management for Microsoft platform cases. Responsibilities include lifecycle development, technical assessments, implementation engineering, server builds automation, migrations and/or transition planning, maintenance, project planning, technical documentation, training, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Requirements:
• Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Win2k, Win2k3 & Win2k8, Active Directory, Microsoft Management Console
• Working knowledge of Internet Information Server and other web server applications, Networks, Setting up Domains
• Understanding of Clusters and failovers, Storage Devices and hardware
• Understanding and ability to troubleshoot Microsoft OS and compatible application issues, for example: Citrix, MS SQL, ISA, Exchange
• A degree in IT or equivalent proven experience in a technical support role in Hosting Managed Services
• Hands on experience in VMware ESX environment. Shell and Perl scripting knowledge
