We are now looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of

eProduct Manager, Expert Databases (Ref. no. 110501-ePM-JDBSG)

Based in Singapore or Hong Kong, the eProduct Manager, Expert Databases is required to carry out the following functions and duties:
• Guide company’s sales and marketing efforts, directly and through distributors
• Develop a plan on how to sell Expert Databases and optimize sales and profitability
• Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
• Determine sales goals and market strategies for emerging markets, following the established corporate direction and objectives
• Implement and coordinate all necessary product training for the sales team, to ensure highest level of product knowledge
• Communicate effectively with publishing organization to ensure highest quality representation and support
• Coordinate activities to ensure that initiatives are seamlessly integrated with existing business practices and goals are accomplished on time and within budget
• Consult with senior management to determine goals, time frame, funding, allotment of resources and procedures for accomplishing objectives
• Define the functionality of new and enhancements to existing products/services to ensure market competitiveness, including defining product questions/issues, writing the functional specifications documents and SWOT / competitive analysis
• Maintain financial performance of the assigned product(s) as defined by corporate goals and objectives
• Effectively communicate with various levels of the organization
• Work both independently and collaboratively with team members and demonstrate innovation, and accountability of assigned responsibilities
• Manage projects involving optimizing, updating and maintaining Web site content while applying right product positioning and design/UI improvements, with the primary goal of increasing conversion rates and overall Web site lead volume
• Support company’s online efforts by developing necessary documentation, help services, support materials and interface with company’s technical customer service.
• Train new employees on new and existing product developments

Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Physics, preferable in Masters or PhD, or applicable work experience in Material Science
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a high-energy, goal-oriented environment
• Able to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities and deadlines
• Experience in defining and leading projects and developing long-term product strategies & roadmaps
• Knowledge of web-based product principles and able to leverage these to implement a social networking platform to communicate with products target audience
• Understanding of email marketing, XML, web services
• Knowledge of HTML
