Overview: Responsible for contractual management of the business, maintenance of key commercial and contractual relationships, provision of advice to the management team and board of directors and compliance of the business with its contractual commitments
Job Requirements: – Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, finance or accounting. – Substantial experience in the private power industry and/or corporate finance and/or in a similar relevant environment. – Leadership qualities as demonstrated through previous line/team management experience. – Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and Swahili. – Excellent business acumen. – Good computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and e-mail. – Strong analytical skills. – Demonstrated business development and financial skills – Ability to work independently and as part of overall team structure – Good interpersonal skills – Good communication skills (oral and written) – Project management skills – Negotiation skills – Analytical and financial modeling skills – Trustworthy and honest
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsibility for managing relationships, rights and obligations under the company’s key commercial agreements and the laws of Tanzania. Monitor industry legislative developments, develop and implement strategic changes in order to maintain compliance and maximise business performance Manage the company’s compliance with all Project Agreements and key statutory Participating in contract negotiations including acquiring and supervising outside legal advice where necessary To develop and maintain an excellent working relationships with the plant management team Deliver training on commercial matters Managing the provision of energy sector and country specific risk analysis
