Community Fundraiser
Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire
35 hours per week
£20,934 per annum
The Royal British Legion requires a Community Fundraiser to cover the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas. This job works in partnership with the local staff and volunteers to help raise the profile of the Poppy Appeal and other fundraising streams to maximise income generated in the area. You will be based from home, working 35 hours per week on a flexible basis, some of which will be in the evenings and at weekends.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Previous fundraising experience, preferably gained from a national charity
• Experience and skills in relationship building along with knowledge of developing commercial opportunities
• To be dynamic, enthusiastic and able to develop the Poppy Appeal and other fundraising opportunities within your area
• The ability to recruit, develop and motivate volunteers
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills
• A full driving licence and use of a car, and
• Knowledge of the Armed Forces would be desirable.
