Our client, an US-based MNC in the industry of Automotive is actively seeking for a Telecommunications Manager to join their dynamic team for their Regional Portfolio.
Change Management
• Ensure adherence from contracted Suppliers, third-parties involved in change Management
• Ensure appropriate local, regional and global meetings are attended to, documented and procedures adhered to
• Ensure business is aware of Change Mgt policies and procedures
• Ensure Business is aware of scheduled downtime
Incident/Problem Management
• Take the appropriate actions to communicate and correct reported defects to restore the

Application/System.
• Review incident reports, and ensure high standard of report is submitted to Regional and Global forums
• Ensure the completion of Permanent Corrective Actions relevant to infrastructure,
• Drive outcomes to prevent repetitive issues
• Review risk assessments and lead contingency planning efforts
• Resolve conflicts, issues and demarcation issues in a multi vendor environment
• Capture key learning’s and makes improvements by conducting post-mortem analysis of escalations
• Monthly reviews of Network Utilization, Availability and Response Times to ensure the correct link sizing was in place and to have a capacity plan for future development so as to ensure growth can occur without impact to the Business. This extends to DNS and Firewall mgt as appropriate.

Escalation Mgt
• Define and control the process of escalation within in conjunction with peer Operation Managers
• Ensure timely communications, using various mediums, to the business, manage business expectations
• Ensure the movement of incidents and escalation notification from local to regional when applicable

Contract Stewardship
• Own the end-to-end service delivery management of telecommunications vendors services to areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for the first phase of disputes resolution concerning contract intent.
• Where appropriate maintain minutes, logs of in-flight issues and actions.
• Prepare presentations and statistics for the consumption for management
• Ensure the supplier Mgt polices and procedures are adhered to
• Establishment and maintenance of customer-specific catalogues of approved products
• Reviewing monthly Reports, and SLA mgt
• Invoice verification and budget management – Manage the expenditure for Operations and plan the costs (for input into forecasting) for each quarter.
• Ensure a valid PO is in place for suppliers under area of responsibility
• Responsible for the management of delivery of contracted services against a defined budget.
• Facilitate/initiate areas for Structural Cost reduction.
• Report SLA and other relevant information to key business staff.
• Invoice verification and Contract Management for any external services not provided by the Supplier such as hardware or software maintenance.

Access Management
• Ensure access is controlled according to polices and procedures. Assist in the resolution of security issues and questions. Ensure the Service Desk has access to a correct listing of System owners at all times.

Planning
• Review, collaborate in the capacity planning exercises within the Business and IT
• Working Cooperatively with the Supplier to develop solutions that suits the needs of the business that are secure, scaleable and economical
• Ensuring that Projects are delivered on-time, on budget and with minimal impact to the Business.
• Build strong communication and business relationships with Key business and regional/global IT staff
• Empower teams to be responsible and accountable for actions
• Ensure all corporate personnel requirements are met, PMPs. Reviews etc.
• Demonstrate leadership
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Report regularly to IT Mgt.
• Manage communications effectively and efficiently

User Support
• Act as a point of escalation for all IT issues in areas of responsibility. Drive users complaints/concerns to conclusion or resolution.
• Act as IT expert for in country Comms managers, create information sessions as required.

Service Request Management
• Reviewing requests against catalogue items, and validating charges
• Drive timely delivery of Service Requests
• Set improvement goals

Procurement
• Gathering and analysing requirements
• Purchase Order Administration
• Gathering quotations, information and pricing request
• Requesting/Approving Purchase Orders
• Tracking and expediting orders and releases
• Follow-up through delivery of requested products to requester’s receiving location

Technology Control
• Manage application change, relevant to the infrastructure environment, due to changes in business needs or business processes, or due to changes in laws or regulations, or to improve Application performance. Assist in refining new Application requirements and specifications to support new technology or business functions
• Ensure new services are successfully integrated into ‘steady state’ with minimal impact to existing service levels.
• Ensure the business is confident that IT infrastructure/tools and processes work and that they are delivered in a consistent (repeatable) fashion.
• Provide appropriate Service Delivery input into all stages of the application life cycle – from planning, project initiation through to handover to operations and eventual shutdown of the legacy application.
• Maintain linkage to regional and global technology initiatives to ensure infrastructure and tools remain inline with corporate direction.
• Keep apprised of business plans and directions
• Manage small changes to current functionality
• Assist in the prioritisation and planning of the enhancement, including blockpoint release planning
• Provide Management assistance, counsel during pilot/integration testing and installation of technology components so that the new installation does not negatively impact the existing infrastructure
• Ensure the incoming technology complies with company’s infrastructure and Application standards
• Provide information in the development of business cases and project plans
• Coordinating with development and block point release activities to ensure constraints are addressed.

Assessing and making recommendations for improved utilization of existing group/site IT resources to meet new or expanded compute requirements
• Assessing and making recommendations for alternate uses of equipment scheduled to be replaced
• Work with GCTS Operations Management and Architecture Office as one face of IT.
• Ensures production service efficient by managing the production scheduling function together with the vendor(s) and coordinates production planning with the vendor(s). Manages release to production of new services and systems including the associated process and ensures acceptance criteria is achieved
