We are looking for a researcher to work on a contract basis to produce a National Status Report on Aquatic Invasive Species.
The report will examine the current status and trends for aquatic invasive species, provide an overview and report card on current monitoring and control actions, and make research and policy recommendations to government. The report will be shaped by a national workshop of stakeholders and experts in aquatic invasive species. The report will be published as a Canadian Wildlife Federation report and submitted for publication in an appropriate academic journal.

Duration: 6 to 9 months (contract)
Remuneration: To be negotiated. Please note: this could be set up as part of a graduate degree or post-doctorate.
Qualifications:
• Masters or doctorate in aquatic invasive species or related field
• Excellent writing and research skills
• Knowledge of government policies and regulations with respect to invasive species
• Knowledge of aquatic invasive species public awareness and control programs
• Interest in helping set the agenda for aquatic invasive species science and policy in Canada
