Our client is a leader in development of large infrastructure projects in Africa.
They have experience and a presence in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, Malawi, Botswana, Mozambique and Rwanda.

The group is seeking to recruit Human Resource Managers for each of the following countries: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Job Title: Human Resource Manager
(for each country – Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda)

Purpose of the role:
The Human Resources Manager will act as a strategic Human Resources business partner to the organisation in the country of assignment, providing both hands on and strategic support in the areas of change management, employee relations, recruitment, coaching/development, organizational development and workforce planning.

Key responsibilities include:
• Provide guidance in the areas of organization effectiveness, change management, and talent acquisition
• Effectively influence senior management on key HR programs including staff motivation, staff engagement.
• Manage the Learning and development function for the country
• Manage Reward, Retention and implement Performance Management systems
• Develop and implement key HR / Learning and Development initiatives throughout the organization
• Work with Group Leadership in developing, implementing, monitoring and measuring key HR Programs and Services
• Lead a team of HR professionals in developing appropriate policies and procedures aligned to corporate culture and vision.
• Ensure that the business remains legislatively compliant with regards to employment law in the country of assignment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a HR diploma certificate preferred
• At least 5-7 years of HR experience, preferably in a high-growth, fast-paced business
• Solid understanding of employment laws and legislation
• A proven leader with a solid track record of successfully implementing people programs and initiatives
• Strong business acumen and able to translate the needs of the core business function into people solutions
• Versatility, flexibility, and ability to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
