About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of quality control best practices. He or she will develop, maintain, and enforce a Quality Manual, will regularly interface with suppliers and customers on quality-related issues, and will manage a team of technicians to support manufacturing ramp up. Global travel to suppliers and installation sites will be required.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, and five or more years of experience as a Quality Manager are required. The successful candidate will have experience in effectively managing and providing quality support to a team of technicians and engineers. Experience with automated and manual assembly systems and creative problem solving are essential.

Required Skills and Knowledge
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and familiarity with quality control best practices
• Demonstrated success in using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques
• Knowledge of and familiarity with automated and manual manufacturing systems
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Polymer manufacturing techniques (i.e. Injection Moulding)
• Knowledge of and familiarity with General Engineering Principles

Description of Duties

The Quality Manager will:
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining the company Quality Manual and ensure adherence to the agreed standards.
• Develop critical tests and systems including incoming inspections, in process inspections, final inspections, as well as product and component traceability.
• Support suppliers and customers as well as Morgan Solar’s internal design and manufacturing teams to meet or exceed Morgan solar quality standards.
• Oversee and supervise quality support on all shifts.
• Develop systems and techniques to adequately maintain the standards required. The manager will develop and maintain statistically based quality inspection criteria.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards where applicable.
• Set up and maintain the appropriate quality records and documentation.
• Support supplier audits and travel globally.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager to qualify new suppliers, support design team on new product and or component introduction
