TITLE: MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER (KARAMOJA)
Reports to: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Duty Station: Moroto
Appointment: Contract of two years renewable
JOB PURPOSE
Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of NUSAF2 Project Activities in Karamoja Sub-region.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Quarterly and annual of monitoring and evaluation work plans for Karamoja sub-region;
Monitoring and Evaluation data and information for the sub-region; and,
Quarterly and annual monitoring reports for the sub-region;
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Prepare quarterly and annual monitoring and evaluation work plans for the sub region;
Monitor the progress of ongoing Project activities In the sub region to ensure adherence to set standards and specifications and agreed implementation guidelines and time schedules;
Coordinate quarterly data collection and analysis on Project activities in the sub-region;
Support the design and implementation of baseline, midline and other studies or surveys planned for under the Project;
Advise and make appropriate recommendations to management on identified project implementation strategies, targets and operational problems;
Provide monitoring and evaluation technical assistance to the stakeholders in the sub region i.e at district, sub-county and community levels;
Submit analytical reports on progress in Project implementation in the sub region; and,
Undertake any reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.
Job requirement
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Honours degree in Statistics, Economics, Economics and Statistics or a related field. A post graduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation or Project Planning and Management or a related field is an added advantage.
At least 3 years of practical experience in the application of M&E tools and methodologies
Solid understanding of community development and participatory approaches.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills (in statistical analysis, micro-soft excel, micro-soft word, micro-soft power point and micro-soft access applications)
Experience in data processing, information analysis and report writing.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good interpersonal relationship and team player.
Knowledge of Ngakarimojong will be an added advantage
