Baylor – Uganda has three operational areas; HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services, Health professional training and clinical research.
Baylor-Uganda is in receipt of PEPFAR grant through CDC, and is looking for knowledgeable, enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to become part of its comprehensive care and treatment team.
1. ADMINISTRATION MANAGER – 1 position
Duty station: COE – Mulago hospital
Reports to: The Executive Director
Role Definition: To Provide leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of systems, processes and policies for Information technology. Procurement stores and
Administration in accordance with Baylor’s vision and strategic goals
Key Result Areas:
1. Initiate annual plans for the Administration Team and monitor the achievement of results in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan
2. Review developed policies, procedures, strategies, for Information Technology (ICT), procurement. Stores, trans-port and travel stock and asset management and all administration services in line with Baylor – Uganda’s 5 year strategic plan.
3. Monitor and analyse the operating environment make timely readjustments of the operations, and provide advice on legal considerations and risk assessment in accordance with the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives
4. Initiate collaborative arrangements with potential partners, develop a client relationship management system for appropriate operational partnership arrangements in accordance with the Baylor – Uganda’s strategic goals
5. Provide guidance to the Department’s budgeting processes, review developed budgets and work plans, track expenditures in accordance with Baylor- Uganda’s budgeting and expenditure guidelines
6. Provide oversight to the execution of the Administrative functions in accordance with Baylor- Uganda’s strategic objectives
7. Monitor and review the performance of the department and address performance gaps according to set targets for the Department.
8. Direct and control the organisation’s procurement processes and management of assets and facilities, negotiate and approve contracts facilities in accordance with established procurement and logistical control guidelines
9. Provide leadership and guidance in the maintenance of a secure, reliable ICT infrastructure for information sharing and storage in line with Baylor’s ICT objectives
10. Develop, appraise, support and maintain competent and motivated “administration departmental team”, through giving constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring in accordance with the Human resources manual
11. Prepare and present monthly progress performance reports regarding the business operations of Baylor – Uganda to the Executive Director and Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate will have;
1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or bachelor of business Administration- Accounting option
2. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
3. Most be Audit competent
4. Must have Training in ICT
5. Must be registered with a relevant professional body of either Chartered secretaries or Chartered Accountants.
6. 5 -10 years of relevant experience at a managerial level providing management advisory services and managing Administrative systems
7. Knowledge of contract management and operations management best practices
8. Excellent managerial interpersonal analytical and communication skills [both verbal and written) and a motivational Leader.
9. Demonstrable abilities in Leadership, Budgeting and Team building and Management.
10. 35-45 years of age
