Supply Chain Specialist
Working within an environment with an international outlook, manage the complete operational supply chain for a product lines/ranges. This position will involve an initial placement in Corporate Offices in Europe for a period of approximately 6 months.
Responsibilities:
• As a supply chain specialist, you will be a member of the Corporate Supply Chain execution team focusing on one or more strategic business units.
• You will be involved in all the supply aspects of the international roll-out (currently close to 30 countries) of brands in high involvement consumer health categories (Medical devices, Cosmetics and/or Food supplements).
• You work with our internal and third party manufacturing partners to deliver global projects on time and on budget.
• You will be the liaison between our affiliates, corporate supply and the manufacturers to secure a seamless execution of the operational supply chain. This includes forecast management, inventory management, phase in/phase out of new products, order handling, capacity management etc.
• Coordination of artworks changes/new launches back into the supply chain. Ensure phase in /phase out is managed appropriately.
• Coordinate Supply Chain aspects of new launches according to deadlines set out and escalate to next level as necessary.
• Coordinate, and escalate where required, any other logistical aspects particular to the product line or range
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with distribution agreements, supply agreements.
• Ensure all activities are within the framework of the Quality system, including the setting and achievement of relevant KPIs.
• Seek and participate in continuous improvements and cost/ resource reduction
• Building on your solid SAP experience, we expect you to drive the necessary process improvement projects.
• Generation of relevant Supply Chain management reports
• Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues of assigned product lines/ ranges, relating to Supply Chain matters
• Interface regularly with all relevant personnel at intra company and global supplier levels
• Responsible for achieving business objectives: MOQs, quality service levels, lead-time reduction and on-time delivery
• Develop and manage a value add relationship with relevant clients.
• Arrange transport , invoicing and appropriate export/import documentation
Person Profile
• College degree in Business and a minimum of 5 years Complete Supply Chain experience preferably with an additional 3-5 years senior experience.
• Logistics qualification
• Several years experience of operational supply chain/logistics and/or procurement
• A solution provider with some experience of business integration into supply chain activities
• Practical business acumen
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to lead and support several concurrent projects/products and develop strong relationship within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong team skills.
• Excellent computer skills including Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Strong SAP experience necessary preferably in an international invoicing business
• Willing to work in a results based, fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
• Execution – persistent drive for results utilizing sound project focus, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and on one’s own initiative
• Enthusiasm and Drive to take complete ownership and drive process improvement initiatives.
