The University of Sunderland has long been known as a forward looking and Innovative organisation. Student and Learning Support puts both the student and staff Experiences at the heart of what we do. This is as true of IT –‐ where we have a sophisticated and
Contemporary IT infrastructure and service keyed to academic and corporate drivers –
as the rest of the Service.
A skilled and motivated technical leader, you will be able to use your well–‐honed skills to
Lead IT Services and manage our expanding portfolio of IT systems and services as we bring the new IT Strategy to life. You must be able to bring to the role an understanding of and ability to deliver the value of positive and empowering leadership and management. Student & Learning Support is a large department with a diverse and far–‐reaching portfolio
of services. We have an established set of shared values around which our people and departments coalesce.
As part of the Executive Team, working alongside the Director, you will provide strategic leadership and management with a focus on IT and IT Services, but also across the Service
as a whole: you will be a key contributor to our ongoing development and future success.
