PATH HIV Free Generation Jobs Vacancies in Kenya

PATH is an international nonprofit organization that creates sustainable, culturally relevant solutions, enabling communities worldwide to break longstanding cycles of poor health.
We seek to fill various positions as outlined below for a new organization called the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation, Kenya (HFG/K). Until this organization becomes a legal entity, these positions will be temporarily housed at PATH, but ultimately these individuals will become permanent employees of HFG/K.

The Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation, Kenya (HFG/K) is a public-private partnership designed to support a 50% reduction in HIV incidence among youth aged 10-24 years in Kenya.

HFG/K’s vision is to inspire and provide opportunities for all youth to live healthy and productive lives and to contribute to the realization of an HIV free generation.

This vision will be achieved by revolutionizing HIV prevention interventions and combining the core competencies of the private sector with technical expertise of Government and development partners in the creation and expansion of innovative and effective youth HIV prevention programs targeting youth ages 10-24 years in Kenya.

Finance Advisor
The incumbent will spearhead the setting up and management of the project’s financial and administrative processes and systems and ensure compliance with USAID and PATH policies.

S/he will advise project staff on donor requirements and provide training on financial management and reporting, record keeping, operational systems, policies, budget development and grants monitoring.

S/he will develop and coordinate the annual work plan and budgeting process with partners and staff in compliance with donor regulations and ensure financial accountability and sound business management performance for the project.

Senior Program Manager
The position holder will be responsible for managing a key component of the HFG/K strategic plan consisting of developing and implementing a communication strategy consisting of a national mass media campaign with roots in 4 focus areas and managing and coordinating the integrated HFG/K work with the public sector; implementing partners.

S/he will be integral to the conceptual design of private-public partnerships (PPPs), ensuring collaboration and input. This position requires senior management level skills with a passion for social impact, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Program Officer
As the steward of the lifestyle brand G-Pange, the Program Officer will provide technical guidance and management of the development, implementation and evaluation of a national mass media campaign for youth with focus in 4 regional areas.

S/he will engage, inspire and galvanize HFG/K and its partners around G-Pange’s vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.

S/he will liaise with program staff, implementing partners, and the advertising agency to provide guidance for the phased media campaign which includes above-the-line IEC and experiential components.

Private Public Partnership (PPP) Manager
The position holder will identify, assess and develop outreach approaches to the private sector for possible partnerships.

The candidate will also design, negotiate, implement and monitor the PPP with the corporate organizations, private sector associations, public implementing partners and other relevant partners to ensure value-adding, mutually beneficial partnerships are developed in response to HFG/K programming.

The PPP Manager will work with the HFG/K team members to design and implement PPPs.

Economic Development Officer
The position holder will be responsible for the economic development opportunities for youth within the confines of project requirements and ensure the creation of concrete linkages to the private and public sector.

This work may include the development, networking, negotiation, supervision and monitoring of programs that may include, but are not limited to, vocational training (business and skills), internships, mentorships, savings promotion, microcredit, product development and sales, or the development and promotion of small and medium enterprises.

These programs may be initiated through a private-public partnership model or by an informal engagement, partnership and interconnectivity of various partners on the ground.

Field Officers
The four (4) Field Officers will work closely with the Senior Program Manager, the Youth HIV Prevention Implementing Partners, the youth serving organizations and the relevant GOK ministries and implementing partners in rolling out the HFG strategy in the field.

These positions will report to the Events Officer in Nairobi and be based in implementing partner offices in Coast (Mombasa), Western (Kisumu), Rift (Nakuru or Eldoret) and Nairobi.

They will identify and assess possible public and private sectors in the region, network and engage with strategic partners in their regions of operations while monitoring coordination and implementation of youth HIV prevention activities in the specific regions.
