Network Administrator
Job status: Permanent position
Location: Guelph
The Role
The Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of Agricorp’s end-client systems and servers, ensuring daily availability and integrity of desktops and networks. As Network Administrator, you will:
* Install and configure server-based software and hardware
* Complete server configuration changes
* Maintain existing network infrastructure components
* Resolve general server hardware for existing systems, including configuring, replacing and upgrading network hardware
* Resolve general server and workstation software problems, including patches, connectivity, operating systems, and normal business applications
* Assist in disaster recovery preparation and tests
Qualifications
* Degree or diploma in a related Information Technology field or equivalent experience
* Current MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) certification or equivalent Microsoft system experience
* Previous experience supporting end-desktops, servers, and networked computing environments
* A minimum of three years’ technical experience in computer networking and administration
* Five years of customer service experience
* Knowledge of workstations and networks in a Microsoft Windows environment
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, networking, virtualization, Microsoft Server and Windows Operating Systems
* Ability to work well with little supervision, both independently after hours, and as part of a team
