Job description: In partnership with my client – a leading healthcare company, we are a Process Improvement Engineer with 18 months-2 years engineering experience to work at the company’s Cork plant to lead process improvement projects.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract position.
Degree qualified with at least 2 years manufacturing support experience within a high volume multinational manufacturing assembly environment with strong problem solving skills and track record in using process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC or Six Sigma. Experience using risk analysis tools such as FMEA, DoE & SPC would also be an advantage.
The environment is essentially a high volume manufacturing environment so my client wants candidates coming from a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment who have a track record of identifying, solving and stopping manufacturing problems.

They also want candidates with a track record of leading process improvements using methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, 5S, etc) to improve the quality, robustness, efficiencies and costs associated with these processes.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 process improvement, manufacturing or process engineer experience within a world class manufacturing environment (i.e. medical devices, electronic manufacturing, automotive components, semiconductor manufacturing) with extensive experience of leading and project managing NPI, yield improvement and process improvement projects.

The environment is essentially a high volume manufacturing environment so my client wants candidates coming from a fast-paced multinational high-volume manufacturing environment.
This role will support the Improvement Engineer team on industrial related and value stream improvement projects and will require strong project management, communication and influencing skills.

Salary €30-000 – €40,000 (DOE) including benefits from day 1 (Gym, Health Insurance, Pension – 6% contrib., Bonus, Stock Options, Life Assurance). Full benefits are given for both contract and permanent roles.

Suitable candidates will be:
• Degree qualified must have at least 2 years experience as an engineer supporting manufacturing processes within a world class manufacturing environment (ideally a high volume assembly environment such as medical device, electronic and automotive manufacturing)
• Suitable candidates will have a proven track record of implementing process improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, DMAIC, Six Sigma, etc.

The key competencies my client is seeking for the individual;
• Strong process improvement (engineer level), a strong emphasis on process improvement within a high volume assembly environment
• A track record of cost saving and yield improvement
