About the Organisation
The ACT Division of General Practice Ltd (ACTDGP) is an independent not for profit organisation, representing general practice in the ACT and surrounding region. The Division was established to support General Practitioners in their role and to deliver local health solutions through general practice. The Division is governed by a Board and has a workforce of 26, mainly located in offices in Weston. The workforce comprises reception/administrative staff, project officers, nurses and doctors, who act as medical advisors.
About the Opportunity
The ACT Division of General Practice Ltd (ACTDGP) has an exciting opportunity for a full time Project Officer to join their dedicated Closing The Gap – Improving Indigenous access to mainstream primary care program, based in Weston, Canberra.
This program works towards improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ access to mainstream primary health care, contributing to closing the life expectancy gap by improving access to culturally sensitive primary care services for Indigenous Australians; increasing in the overall health of the Indigenous population; and improving management of chronic conditions experienced by Indigenous Australians.
Supported by an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Outreach Worker, your role will involve engaging with the mainstream general practice.

The successful applicant will be rewarded with an attractive salary package circa $58,090 – $72,613, negotiable based on qualifications and experience, plus super and access to generous salary sacrificing options without restrictions, to the value of $16,050, to increase the value of your take-home pay.
