RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Schedule and approve work as per the company preventative maintenance program
* Assist Area Maintenance Manager with assigned projects
* Provide coverage for vacation, holidays and regular business trips
* Supervise shop activities to ensure maximum productivity
* Develop and maintain a cooperative and safe work environment
* Review repair orders for labour and parts allocation
* Provide employee training
* Communicate with dispatch and operations
* Perform administrative functions
* Assist drivers with road failures
* Co-ordinate sales and services for foreign carriers
EDUCATION
* Applicable Provincial Journeyman’s Certificate
* Applicable provincial driver’s licence
KNOWLEDGE /EXPERIENCE
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong technical knowledge of the operational fleet
WORKING CONDITIONS
* On call as required, shift work
* Garage environment
