Job Title: Finance Manager Department: Finance
Location : Kampala

Responsibilities/ Key Objectives:
– Develop and implement appropriate accounting and other policies and procedures in support of the business.
– Provide regular and ad hoc management information, business support information and financial advisory services in-country, to the corporate and the development project team.
– Maintain accurate and timely financial records of Tullow Uganda and project operations and assets
– Ensure all Ugandan-related corporate and in-country internal and external financial reporting and filing obligations are met.
– Build relations with Joint Venture counterparts and lead implementation of JV-wide, consistent finance and accounting policies, practices and controls.

Experience and Education:
– Broad range of oil and gas technical finance competences.
– Proven functional and general leadership ability.
– Exposure to complex project management.
– Ability to build and develop a finance organization.
– A qualified accountant with at least 15 years experience, five of which were in a senior financial management position within the international oil exploration and production industry.

Job Title: Environmental Manager
Department: Environment
Location: Kampala

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
– Formulation and advise on Environmental policy, standards, site procedures and / guidelines necessary for the management as well as production operations.
– Manage environmental management plan/ mitigation component of Environmental Impacts Assessment (EIA) offshore and onshore and ensure compliance with all legislation as well as resulting company commitments from the EIA work.
– Lead the implementations of company environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
– Develop and maintain the environmental budget for EIAs, ongoing environmental operations, rehabilitations, staff training etc.

Experience and Education:
– At least 5 years of field environmental related experience preferably in oil/gas facilities.
– International Codes of Practice e.g. MARPOL regulations, ISO 14001Environmnetal Management Systems, as well as legislations.
– Waste management practices/disposals.
– Oil spill contingency systems.
– Environmental & social impact assessments plans.
– Preferably a BSc in Environmental Science or related field.

Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Trainer
Department: EHS
Location: Kampala & Field Based

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
– Assess training needs, develop or recommend appropriate EHS trainings for employees, contractors and sub contractors.
– Execute trainings to an established schedule and within EHS training budgets, as well as manage the oversea trainings that are delivered by an external trainer.
– Carryout post training evaluations to determine value for money.
– Report on attendance, schedules, evaluations to EHS manager and training advisor.
– Keep proper records of the same.

Experiences and Education:
– Professional qualifications in Occupation Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH etc) required.
– A professional qualification in Occupational Health is desirable.
– A minimum of 2 years experience of delivering training in an industrial setting.
– Environment, Health and Safety knowledge is an added advantage.
– Qualification in all relevant oil and gas trainings a must have.

Job Title: Senior Environmental Advisor
Department: Environment
Location: Kampala

Responsibilities/ Key Objective:
– To assist in the development and management of Tullow Uganda’s environment management system.
– Engage and deliver strategies for EIAs, EMPs and regional management plans.
– Building frameworks to embed environmental decision making into operations.
– Coordinate the EIA function and related study work.
– Provide project support/leadership to various initiatives and development goals.

Experience and Education:
– At least 5 years of field environmental related experience preferably in oil/gas facilities.
– International Codes of Practice e.g MARPOL regulations, IMO.
– Waste management practices / disposals.
– ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
– Environmental legislation.
– Oil spill contingency systems and strategies planning.
– Environmental & social impact assessments management plans.
– Inshore exploration and development experience.

Job Title: Field Environment Superintendent
Department: Environment
Location: Field based

Responsibilities/ Key Objectives.
– Deliver leadership and guidance to operations in the field and ensure that environmental risk is addressed.
– Engage in planning for upcoming operations and implement ESIA requirements.
– Implement ISO14001 in the field operations.
– Ensure project input from the field to ensure adequate operational elements are captured.
– Engage with key contractors on environmental management and ensure delivery of work scopes is aligned to legal and Tullow standards.
– Mentor field environmental Advisors to raise awareness of oil and gas operations and challenges in delivery.

Experience and Education:
– At least 5 years of field environmental related experience in oil/gas operations.
– International Codes of Practice e.g. MARPOL regulations, IMO.
– Waste management practices/disposals.
– Experience of implementation and operation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
– Operational oil and gas experience including drilling.
– Experience in mentoring of local staff.
– Understanding of oil spill contingency system.
– Clear understanding of key areas of environmental management including biodiversity, climate change and resource management and implementation of practical solutions.
– Preferably degree qualified in Environmental Science or related field.

Job Title: Field Health & Safety Superintendent
Department: Health & Safety
Location: Field based.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
– Lead, motivate and manage field EHS advisors to deliver TUOP integrated environment, health and safety management system.
– Provide EH&S technical advice in the development of TUOP integrated EHS /safety management
– System that covers Tullow field employees, field contactors and resolving audit issues in this regard.
– Periodic reporting on EHS activities and EHS performance indicators in TUOP activities.
– Provide EHS functional skills coaching to Field Environment team.

Experience and Education:
– Relevant degree or 20 years experience in oil and gas industry.
– Core level of EHS qualifications such as NEBOSH.
– Instructor level based competency in EHS basic training modules.
– Proven experience of managing EHS in remote EP and production operations.
– Knowledge of identification and control measures of operational risks/hazards in EP sites.
