Wednesday, military staff from 26 nations around the globe began drilling to assist them enhance their capacity to work together during peacekeeping operations.
The exercise is being conducted from Wednesday to the end of the month by the Rwanda Defense Force (RDF), the U.S. military, several African nations, the European Union and other international organizations.
The opening ceremony was held at the Gabiro RDF Combat Training Centre.
The exercise will be performed in conjunction with a associated Command Post Exercise (CPX) at Rwanda Military Academy-Gako and a Medical Readiness Exercise (MEDREX) at Rwanda Military Hospital in Kanombe.
This is the second time that this exercise takes place in Rwanda following the successful exercise shared agreement 18 that took place last year in August.
Participants are from Belgium, Botswana, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Netherlands, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, USA, Eswatini, Italy, Lesotho and Zambia.
