President Muhammadu Buhari re-appointed Aghaeze on Sunday as his Personal Assistance on Photography.
The appointment took effect on May 29, according to a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
”I am pleased to inform you that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved your appointment as Personal Assistant to the President (State Photographer),” he said.
The president first appointed Mr Aghaeze to the same position in 2016, where he served until his reappointment.
Mr Aghaeze was an award-winning photojournalist with THISDAY Newspapers as a photo editor in Abuja before his appointment .
He holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Abuja University, Higher National Diploma and National Mass Communication Diploma, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra and Auchi, respectively, in Edo.
Mr Aghaeze, a extensively traveled photojournalist, has covered the operations of the United Nations, World Bank, IMF, African First Ladies, in several nations in Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
He was the year’s Best Photo Journalist in 2007 and second runner up photo journalist in 2010, among others, in 2010 Prof. Wole Soyinka Award.
He is a member of, among others, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Photojournalists Association of Nigeria (PJAN). (NAN)
